Eli Schwartz is a senior at Marin Academy, and will be graduating in the spring of 2015. He has spent the last four years at MA, engaging in academic and athletic endeavors that he hopes will prepare him for the next phase of his life. Eli has become increasingly interested in the career of design and architecture which prompted his internship at Cavagnero and associates in the summer of 2014. In the fall of 2014, Eli elected to take the newly added Architecture and Technology class which aims to harvest ones understanding about civic relationship, and create a educated perspective of the surrounding community. Next year, Eli will embark on the next stage of his education at Kenyon College. While he remains interested in architecture, design, and civil engineering, he plans to spend his undergraduate years studying something other than that above. He has been advised that while and engineering degree is very valuable as an undergrad, limiting his areas of study isn't all that beneficial if he decides to change career paths following his undergraduate years. Eli hopes to use the information that he has been given in his architecture class, as well as that provided by the internship time to find a career that best suits his interests. Whether that be in the field of design build or not, Eli has experienced the benefits and drawbacks of life as an architect. Vastly different from design and build, Eli is possibly interested in a career in medicine. With two parents who work in the field of healthcare an medicine, Eli is confident that the healthcare industry is not where he wants to end up, yet surgery and medicine may offer a different surprise. Eli hopes that whatever it is he ends up choosing, it is something that is enjoyable and financially stable. He is very excited about the opportunities he has had at MA, and hopes that they will prepare for the road ahead.
